03 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
04 - 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
09 - Vegetable oil for frying

→ Hot Honey

10 - ⅓ cup honey
11 - 1½ tablespoons hot sauce
12 - ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

→ Caesar Salad

13 - 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
14 - ½ cup Caesar dressing
15 - ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
16 - ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
17 - 1 cup croutons

→ Assembly

18 - 4 large flour tortillas, 10-inch diameter

# How To Make:

01 - Place chicken strips in a bowl and submerge in buttermilk. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
02 - In a shallow dish, combine all-purpose flour, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly to distribute seasonings evenly.
03 - Remove marinated chicken strips from buttermilk and dredge thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring complete coverage on all sides.
04 - Heat ½ inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Working in batches, fry chicken strips for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
05 - Combine honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Warm over low heat, stirring occasionally until blended. Do not boil.
06 - Transfer fried chicken strips to a bowl and pour hot honey glaze over them. Toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
07 - In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and cherry tomatoes. Toss until all ingredients are well coated with dressing. Add croutons if desired.
08 - Heat tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for 30 seconds per side, or warm in a microwave for 20-30 seconds until pliable and warm.
09 - Place a tortilla on a flat surface. Layer Caesar salad mixture in the center, then top with hot honey chicken strips. Fold in both sides and roll tightly from bottom to top.
10 - Using a sharp knife, cut each wrap diagonally in half. Serve immediately while still warm.

# Helpful Hints:

01 -
  • The crispy chicken stays remarkably crunchy even after getting tossed in that spicy honey glaze
  • Everything you love about a Caesar salad but handheld and infinitely more exciting
  • Ready in under an hour but tastes like something from a fancy wrap shop
02 -
  • Let the fried chicken rest on a wire rack instead of paper towels to keep that crunch intact
  • Do not toss the chicken in hot honey until right before assembling or it will lose its crispy texture
  • Warm tortillas are not optional here, cold tortillas crack and make the whole thing fall apart
03 -
  • Double the hot honey recipe and keep it in the fridge for drizzling on everything
  • Use leftover rotisserie chicken for a 20 minute weeknight version
  • Grate your own Parmesan instead of using pre shredded for better melting
